Hi, I’m Veronica and I started coming to Mind, Body & Spirit Chirpractic on October 7, 2003. I was hit with a wave of fatigue and debilitation that got progressively worse as months went by. I went to the Doctor who diagnosed me with having the presence of the Ebstien-Barr Virus. I was taking medications to treat the “symptoms” only. Not very successful!
My sister Vivianka referred me into the office because she works for Dr. Amy and Dr. Jose and thought it would help. After just one adjustment I felt a world of difference. I got color back in my cheeks. I had more energy that evening than I have had in months prior. The difference is so noticeable my boyfriend asked if I had any make up on. For the chance in my face was so evident.

Hi, I’m Michelle and I’m 30 years old. I started care with Dr. Jose at Mind, Body & Spirit Chiropractic on May 22, 2003. I was referred to the clinic by my sister, Bobbi White.
Before chiropractic care I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): Irregular menstrual cycles, sporadic or no ovulation unstable, hormones accompanied by daily cramps in my lower back. I was on birth control pills and various herbs for women that only suppressed the symptoms. I was told I would have to take fertility drugs or use in-vitro to conceive. It’s been very disheartening.
After one month, 12 adjustments, I noticed my lower back cramps were almost non-existent. After 2 months, 24 adjustments, I had my first menstrual cycle in 4 months. Although I did not ovulate, I have noticed a change in my hormones, they are becoming more stabilized. This means less mood-swings, fewer low back cramps, and a feeling that I will be able to conceive naturally.

Hello again!!! You may have already read my first testimonial, but let me tell you about another miracle that has happened to me recently. A few months ago around January 2003, I began to experience extreme dizziness. I could not drive, taking care of my one year old was almost impossible and I could not even walk across the room. This condition in medical terms is called vertigo. I didn’t want to take any medications, because all that ever does is mask the symptoms. I wanted to find the cause and correct it! I had been a patient of Dr. Amy’s for quite sometime now and she told me to come in immediately. I called my mom and she drove me to her office. After just one adjustment I felt significantly better! Within a few more adjustments my dizziness was completely gone. I continue to get weekly adjustments to keep my body in sync. I have never felt better!

The Roberto Clemente Story, Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee

Over the years, as Clemente sought help for chronic pain in his back and spine, he became a devotee  of chiropractic.  His interest in the practice went back to 1957, his third season in the majors, when his pain was so bad that he considered retiring. During a road trip to St. Louis, he visited the Logan School of Chiropractic, where the founder Vinton Logan took X-rays showing the arthritic condition in his Clemente's neck and relieved the pain. From then on, Clemente would stop in for treatment whenever the Pirates were in St. Loius and began looking for Chiropractors in San Juan and Pittsburgh as well.  He learned their techniques so thoroughly that he started to think of himself as a member of their profession.  Vera, his wife recalled that he had shelves of books on Chiropractic.   "He was a Chiropractor without a license," she said.  "He worked on many patients who would have gone to surgeons."  As he began to consider his future after baseball, he often talked of two parallel dreams:  One was to run a free sports city for the  children of Puerto Rico; the other was to set up a lucrative Chiropractic vacation spa on the ocean outside San Juan.

I am a 31 year old female, and my name is Michelle, please listen to my personal story.
One day, just on the off chance, I walked in to a gym to check out the facility. After the tour, my guide (thankfully) introduced me to Dr. Amy. As we talked I revealed to her that I had been taking birth control for estrogen. The estrogen I took was in an effort to dissolve a cyst on my left ovary, I thought this was a better option than taking pills to subside a problem. I was in pain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I felt fatigued all day, I was uncomfortable sitting at work, driving or just standing. Working out was absolutely out of the question; in fact I had give up tennis and all other activities. Some days all I could do was lay down the whole day long~ it was a terrible experience. But, I did not want to take birth control to mask a problem.
Dr. Amy took some x-rays and showed me why my body was not receiving its natural estrogen. She started me on my adjustment schedule and my life changed dramatically. Just 6 weeks into therapy, I noticed that my cyst was not bugging me…YES! The pain was gone!!
It has been 8-9 weeks now, and I still have no pain. I used to crack my neck myself (bad idea) at least 3-4 times a day. Today, I no longer need to, not even once a week. I can’t wait to see my 3 month progress report.

My name is Matthew and I’m 10 years old, I was referred to Dr. Amy by my mom. I was having headaches and migraines that were making it hard to concentrate.
After about my 10th visit I started having fewer headaches and fewer migraines. It was starting to get easier to concentrate also.

My name is Julie and I was referred to Mind, Body & Spirit by my son John who had been a patient of Dr Jose since November 2005. Prior to coming here I had discretionary surgery and had seen two other chiropractors. I was always out of it and always in pain. My son said he felt a lot better after coming to see Dr. Jose so I tried it. I made my first appointment to see the doctor January 2006.
I was a lot older and I would get depressed. I was in pain and couldn’t always work. The pain ruled my life. After my second adjustment I really started feeling better and I felt better about me. I am more active, and I want to watch my health more closely. Since I felt better, I wanted to do more things. I wanted to also let others know how it changed me and that it could help or change them too.

Hi, I’m Maria and my story starts like this.
Everyday I would feel pain in my neck and lower back. I felt pinched nerves 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I found myself popping over the counter pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs. I thought that this is something that I would have to live with everyday for the rest of my life.
One day I walked by Mind, Body & Spirit Chiropractic and thought I would make an appointment. I started noticing improvements in my health immediately. The first sign of improvement came from my mental well being. I started to have a more positive, out-going attitude. At work and at home I became more cheerful and enthusiastic. There was a light at the end of the tunnel and it started to shine very bright. The most amazing thing is that the pain in my neck is gone. What is also incredible is that my chest pain is gone. I used to wake up in the morning feeling worse than I did before I went to bed. Now I feel well rested and healthy.
Since I started Chiropractic care my life has changed. I feel healthy, I have more motivation. I feel younger, prettier, and more confident.
